Beata's Paintings
October through November 2011 Local artist, Beata Zaborowska, supported our Mental Health Unit by donating 40% of proceeds from every painting sold. Visit www.beataspaintings.com to see Beata's work.
Sobey's Annual BBQ
September 2011 Sobey's on the Queensway held their annual BBQ for customers and donated all proceeds to St. Joe's. Store manager Rick tells us they had a great time while giving back to their local hospital and plan on doing something for St. Joe's again next year.
Royal Bank of Canada BBQ
June 3, 2011 RBC Roncesvalles Branch served a delicious BBQ to customers and neighbours in support of St. Joe's. In addition, senior RBC management were on hand to present a $20,000 cheque towards the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit. This donation makes it possible for us to produce two booklets—one for patients, and one for families—on our mental health program and what to expect when a child is admitted for treatment. The booklets will be translated from English into the five top languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Italian and Chinese) spoken at St. Joe’s.
