Today's Essential Equipment

You want to ensure your community health centre has the best technology and equipment for you and your family when you need it.

Today’s essential medical equipment means less invasive surgery for patients resulting in less pain, minimal chance of complications, and a faster recovery.

And when you need care, you don’t want to travel far and wide to get it. You want it right around the corner.

Here are four examples of equipment that is needed at St. Joe’s.

Blanket Warmers $5,000 each – A newborn baby. A sick child. An adult or senior recovering from treatment or surgery. Blanket warmers warm up dozens of blankets in minutes for patients across the Health Centre.

IV Pumps $7,901 each - IV pumps ensure our patients receive the right fluids, medications, or nutrients at all times.

Non-Invasive Ventilator $24,000 - During the course of their stay at St. Joseph’s, many of our patients endure periods of time when they are unable to breathe on their own. Ventilators deliver the precise amount of medical gases like oxygen and air at just the right pressure and rate.

Ultrasound Machine $250,000 - An ultrasound produces pictures of the body to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. This critical machine diagnoses potentially life-threatening conditions on-the-spot so physicians can respond quickly with a treatment plan.
